--- abstract: | ABSTRACT Cognitive science is a multidisciplinary field, comprising cognitivepsychology, artificial intelligence, linguistics, neuroscience, and anthropology. In recent years, cognitive science has become a predominant paradigm in studies of the mind. This paper reviews work at the emerging interface between cognitive science and psychiatry. It is argued that cognitive science has significant potential as an integrative framework for theorizing and researching psychiatric disorders and their treatment. altloc: [] chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: [] creators_name: - family: Stein given: Dan J. honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 1992 date_type: published datestamp: 2000-11-16 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/10/99 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: ~ edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: [] editors_name: - family: Unknown given: Unknown honourific: '' lineage: '' eprint_status: archive eprintid: 1099 fileinfo: /style/images/fileicons/text_html.png;/1099/1/COGNITIVE__SCIENCE__AND__PSYCHIATRY.htm full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: pub issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: 0 item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: | Clinical psychology Cognitive Science Psychiatric treatment lastmod: 2011-03-11 08:54:26 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: ~ pagerange: 109-116 pubdom: FALSE publication: Intergrative Psychiatry publisher: ~ refereed: TRUE referencetext: |+2 REFERENCES Barratt, E.S.
