--- abstract: 'Electronic journal (e-journal) publishing has started to change the ways we think about publish-ing. However, many scholars and scientists in the mind and brain sciences are still ignorant of the new possibilities and on-going debates. This paper will provide a summary of the issues in-volved, give an update of the current discussion, and supply practical information on issues re-lated to e- journal publishing and self-archiving relevant for the mind and brain sciences. Issues such as differences between traditional and e-journal publishing, open archive initiatives, world-wide conventions, quality control, costs involved in e-journal publishing, and copyright questions will be addressed. Practical hints on how to self-archive, how to submit to the e-journal Psycolo-quy, how to create an open research archive, and where to find information relevant to e-publishing will be supplied.' altloc: [] chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: [] creators_name: - family: Stemmer given: Brigitte honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Corre given: Marianne honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Joanette given: Yves honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 2000-03 date_type: published datestamp: 2000-06-14 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/01/49 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: ~ edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: [] editors_name: [] eprint_status: archive eprintid: 149 fileinfo: /style/images/fileicons/application_pdf.png;/149/2/tenabs05c.m00.PDF full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: ~ issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: 0 item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: 'electronic publishing, mind, brain, self-archiving, copyright, open archives, journal publishing, neuroscience, psychology, neurology, neurolinguistics, philosophy, linguistics' lastmod: 2011-03-11 08:53:42 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: ~ pagerange: ~ pubdom: FALSE publication: ~ publisher: ~ refereed: TRUE referencetext: ~ relation_type: [] relation_uri: [] reportno: ~ rev_number: 10 series: ~ source: ~ status_changed: 2007-09-12 16:24:21 subjects: - appl-cog-psy - behav-anal - behav-neuro-sci - behav-neuro-sci - bio-phys - brain-img - clin-psy - cog-psy - comp-neuro-sci - ling-prag - ling-sem - neuro-anat - neuro-chem - neuro-endocrin - neuro-ling - neuro-mod - neuro-neu - neuro-pharm - neuro-physio - neuro-psy - neuro-psych - phil-sci - psy-bio - psy-ling - psy-phys succeeds: ~ suggestions: ~ sword_depositor: ~ sword_slug: ~ thesistype: ~ title: 'THE MIND AND BRAIN SCHOLAR AS A HITCH-HIKER IN POST-GUTENBERG GALAXY: PUBLISHING AT 2000 AND BEYOND' type: preprint userid: 469 volume: ~
