--- abstract: 'Among male Air Force veterans of the Vietnam era, age-adjusted testosterone (T) levels are lower in married men than among those who are single or divorced. Contrary to the assumption of some sociological studies, age-adjusted T is not constant over time. T is relatively high during the years surrounding a divorce, and T level falls during the years surrounding marriage. Changing T levels may explain the low criminality found among married men, and the increase in wife abuse around the time of divorce.' altloc: [] chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: [] creators_name: - family: Mazur given: Allan honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Michalek given: Joel honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 1998 date_type: published datestamp: 1998-04-15 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/06/32 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: ~ edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: [] editors_name: [] eprint_status: archive eprintid: 632 fileinfo: /style/images/fileicons/text_html.png;/632/1/Joel.html full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: ~ issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: 0 item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: ~ lastmod: 2011-03-11 08:54:08 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: ~ pagerange: ~ pubdom: FALSE publication: ~ publisher: ~ refereed: TRUE referencetext: ~ relation_type: [] relation_uri: [] reportno: ~ rev_number: 8 series: ~ source: ~ status_changed: 2007-09-12 16:32:20 subjects: - soc-psy succeeds: ~ suggestions: ~ sword_depositor: ~ sword_slug: ~ thesistype: ~ title: 'Marriage, Divorce and Male Testosterone' type: preprint userid: 109 volume: ~
