--- abstract: 'Primary non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas (NHL) of the sinonasal tract are rather uncommon entities. Morphologically and radiographically, sinonasal lymphomas are difficult to distinguish from other malignant neoplasms or non- neoplastic processes. They have a variable presentation from fulminant destructive manifestations to chronic indolent type of disease and may mimic as carcinomas and invasive fungal infection respectively. We report a case of primary NHL involving sinonasal tract in elderly female, which was clinically and radiologically mimicking as sinonasal malignany and was proven as NHL on histological examination and confirmed by immunohistochemistry. A high index of suspicion, appropriate histopathological examination and immunohistochemistry is necessary to differentiate sinonasal lymphomas from other possibilities. Failure to do so may miss the diagnosis and delay appropriate treatment' altloc: - http://www.ojhas.org/issue30/2009-2-9.htm chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: - sampanbist@yahoo.com - ~ - ~ - ~ - ~ creators_name: - family: Bist given: SS honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Varshney given: Saurabh honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Singh given: Rakesh Kumar honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Bhagat given: Sanjeev honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Gupta given: Nitin honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 2009-09-08 date_type: published datestamp: 2009-11-14 11:38:07 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/66/75 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: ~ edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: - Kakkilaya BS editors_name: - family: Kakkilaya given: Srinivas honourific: Dr. lineage: '' eprint_status: archive eprintid: 6675 fileinfo: /style/images/fileicons/application_pdf.png;/6675/1/2009%2D2%2D9.pdf full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: pub issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: 0 item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: 'Sinonasal lymphoma, Non Hodgkins lymphoma, Immunohistochemistry' lastmod: 2011-03-11 08:57:30 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: 2 pagerange: ~ pubdom: TRUE publication: Online Journal of Health and Allied Sciences publisher: Kakkilaya BS refereed: TRUE referencetext: "1.\tShohat I, Berkowicz M, Dori S, Horowitz Z, Wolf M, Taicher S et al.
