--- abstract: "Presence is commonly defined as the subjective feeling of \"being there\". It has been mainly conceived of as deriving from immersion, interaction, and social and narrative involvement with suitable technology. We argue that presence depends on a suitable integration of aspects relevant to an agent's movement and perception, to her actions, and to her conception of the overall situation in which she finds herself, as well as on how these aspects mesh with the possibilities for action afforded in the interaction with the virtual environment." altloc: [] chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: 13-15 October 2004 conference: 7th Annual International Workshop on Presence (Presence 2004) confloc: 'Valencia, Spain' contact_email: ~ creators_id: - ~ - ~ - maurizio.tirassa@unito.it creators_name: - family: Carassa given: Antonella honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Morganti given: Francesca honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Tirassa given: Maurizio honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 2004 date_type: published datestamp: 2010-04-01 11:36:37 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/68/15 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: ~ edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: [] editors_name: - family: Alcañiz Raya given: M. honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Rey Solaz given: B. honourific: '' lineage: '' eprint_status: archive eprintid: 6815 fileinfo: /style/images/fileicons/application_pdf.png;/6815/1/2004%2DPresence%2DValencia.pdf full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: pub issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: 0 item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: ~ lastmod: 2011-03-11 08:57:36 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: ~ pagerange: 7-12 pubdom: TRUE publication: ~ publisher: Editorial Universidad Politécnica de Valencia refereed: TRUE referencetext: "M.
