--- abstract: 'An implementation of an autonomous resource-bound agent able to operate in a simulated dynamic and complex domain is described. The agent, called MINDER1, is a partial realisation of an architecture for motive processing and attention. It is shown that a global processing state, called perturbance, can emerge from interactions of subcomponents of the architecture. Perturbant states are characteristic features of many states that are commonly called emotional. The agent is compared to other computer simulations of emotional phenomena.' altloc: - ftp://ftp.cs.bham.ac.uk/pub/groups/cog_affect/Wright_Sloman_MINDER1.ps.gz chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: [] creators_name: - family: Wright given: Ian honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Sloman given: Aaron honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 1997-01 date_type: published datestamp: 1998-06-22 department: School of Computer Science dir: disk0/00/00/07/01 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: ~ edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: [] editors_name: [] eprint_status: archive eprintid: 701 fileinfo: /style/images/fileicons/application_postscript.png;/701/2/Wright_Sloman_MINDER1.ps full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: University of Birmingham isbn: ~ ispublished: pub issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: 0 item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: ~ lastmod: 2011-03-11 08:54:12 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: ~ pagerange: ~ pubdom: FALSE publication: ~ publisher: ~ refereed: FALSE referencetext: ~ relation_type: [] relation_uri: [] reportno: Technical Report CSRP-97-1 rev_number: 10 series: ~ source: ~ status_changed: 2007-09-12 16:33:06 subjects: - cog-psy - comp-sci-art-intel - comp-sci-robot succeeds: ~ suggestions: ~ sword_depositor: ~ sword_slug: ~ thesistype: ~ title: 'MINDER1: An implementation of a protoemotional agent architecture' type: techreport userid: 142 volume: ~
