--- abstract: 'The third birth transition has a negative impact on the national goal of fertility replacement level (2.1) which is to be achieved by 2010. To identify the factors influencing the demographic phenomenon, a cross sectional as well as community based study consisting of 1397 eligible women was conducted in the four valley districts of Manipur under cluster sampling scheme. Analysing the empirical information through SPSS, 42% of the study subjects transit their 3rd birth and its major determinants could be detected to be sex preference, age at marriage, and educational level each at 0.01 probability level of significance.' altloc: - http://www.ojhas.org/issue37/2011-1-8.htm chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: - sharatbiostat@gmail.com - ~ - ~ creators_name: - family: Singh given: NS honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Singh given: WS honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Singh given: NS honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 2011-04-15 date_type: published datestamp: 2011-12-16 00:01:44 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/77/93 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: 0 edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: - BS Kakkilaya editors_name: - family: Kakkilaya given: Srinivas honourific: Dr lineage: ~ eprint_status: archive eprintid: 7793 fileinfo: application/pdf;http://cogprints.org/7793/1/2011%2D1%2D8.pdf full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: pub issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: ~ item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: Age at marriage; Sex of previous child; Education of wife; Third child lastmod: 2011-12-16 00:01:44 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: 1 pagerange: ~ pubdom: TRUE publication: Online Journal of Health and Allied Sciences publisher: BS Kakkilaya refereed: TRUE referencetext: "1.\tBardhan PK.
