abstract: "Complex problem solving takes place for reducing the\r\nbarrier between a given start state and an intended goal\r\nstate with the help of cognitive activities and behavior.\r\nStart state, intended goal state, and barriers prove\r\ncomplexity, change dynamically over time, and can be\r\npartially intransparent. In contrast to solving simple\r\nproblems, with complex problems at the beginning of\r\na problem solution the exact features of the start state,\r\nof the intended goal state, and of the barriers are\r\nunknown. Complex problem solving expects the effi-\r\ncient interaction between the problem-solving person\r\nand situational conditions that depend on the task.\r\nIt demands the use of cognitive, emotional, and\r\nsocial resources as well as knowledge."
