--- abstract: "Based on formal-theoretical principles about the \r\nsign processes involved, we have built synthetic experiments \r\nto investigate the emergence of communication based on \r\nsymbols and indexes in a distributed system of sign users, \r\nfollowing theoretical constraints from C.S.Peirce theory of \r\nsigns, following a Synthetic Semiotics approach.
