--- abstract: 'We present high-resolution path-integral calculations of a previously developed model of short-term memory in neocortex. These calculations, made possible with supercomputer resources, supplant similar calculations made in L. Ingber, Phys. Rev. E 49, 4652 (1994), and support coarser estimates made in L. Ingber, Phys. Rev. A 29, 3346 (1984). We also present a current experimental context for the relevance of these calculations using the approach of statistical mechanics of neocortical interactions, especially in the context of electroencephalographic data.' altloc: - http://www.ingber.com/smni95_stm.ps.gz chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: [] creators_name: - family: Ingber given: Lester honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Nunez given: Paul L. honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 1995 date_type: published datestamp: 1999-06-15 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/00/95 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: ~ edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: [] editors_name: [] eprint_status: archive eprintid: 95 fileinfo: /style/images/fileicons/application_postscript.png;/95/2/smni95_stm.ps full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: pub issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: 0 item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: ~ lastmod: 2011-03-11 08:53:40 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: 5 pagerange: 5074-5083 pubdom: FALSE publication: Physical Review E publisher: ~ refereed: TRUE referencetext: ~ relation_type: [] relation_uri: [] reportno: ~ rev_number: 10 series: ~ source: ~ status_changed: 2007-09-12 16:23:09 subjects: - comp-neuro-sci - comp-sci-stat-model succeeds: ~ suggestions: ~ sword_depositor: ~ sword_slug: ~ thesistype: ~ title: 'Statistical mechanics of neocortical interactions: High resolution path-integral calculation of short-term memory' type: journalp userid: 73 volume: 51
