--- abstract: 'Schwannomas are rare tumors which arise from nerve sheath and are mostly benign in nature. They are usually located in the head, neck and flexor surfaces of extremities. Schwannomas are very rare in the retroperitoneal region. Amongst all schwannomas 0.7% of benign ones and 1.7% of malignant ones are located in the retroperitoneum. Preoperative diagnosis is difficult because of vague symptoms. We report a case of retroperitonal schwannoma in a 70 years female patient because of its rarity and unusual location.' altloc: - http://www.ojhas.org/issue49/2014-1-9.html chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: - ~ - shwetajoshi4422@yahoo.com creators_name: - family: Patil given: N honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Joshi given: S honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 2014-05-15 date_type: published datestamp: 2016-07-11 15:45:02 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/97/35 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: 0 edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: - Kakkilaya BS editors_name: - family: Kakkilaya given: Srinivas honourific: Dr lineage: '' eprint_status: archive eprintid: 9735 fileinfo: /style/images/fileicons/application_pdf.png;/9735/1/2014-1-9.pdf full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: pub issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: ~ item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: Ancient schwannoma; Retroperitoneum lastmod: 2016-07-11 15:45:02 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: 1 pagerange: ~ pubdom: TRUE publication: Online Journal of Health and Allied Sciences publisher: Kakkilaya BS refereed: TRUE referencetext: "1.\tKalayci M, Akyuz O, Demirag A, Gurses B, Ozkan F, Gokce F.
