\nThe condition we imposed
\nunconditionally, relentlessly, mercilessly
\non them?
\nThe Inhumane Condition?<\/p>\n

We did our worst
\nto our own
\ntoo
\nbut thought the better
\nof it,
\nbit by bit,
\noutlawed it
\neschewed it,
\ntoward kin and kind,
\nmostly…<\/p>\n

But do we deserve mercy?
\ncan we even show it?
\nwhile we deny it
