Design of CSCW interfaces: common mistakes and problem of awareness

In this weeks interactions reading group, we will be discussing common mistakes and problem of awareness in CSCW interfaces. The first paper is one of the oldest (and heavily cited) papers summarizing typical mistakes CSCW designers make. The second one is assessing the problem of integrating awareness into collaborative writing systems by introducing the "Shared Feedback" paradigm. The third is an early (and often used) example of a CSCW system for playing music in the gym.

Notes taken during the discussion are available
