The chairs of Hypertext 97 are proud to announce that they will be presenting the second Engelbart Award, in honour of the contributions made in our field by Doug Engelbart. The award, which carries a cash prize of $1000 will be given to the best paper at the conference. We gratefully acknowledge Rob Akscyn and Knowledge Systems Inc. for establishing this award.
