I have read about copper pollution in combination with acidified ocean water killing all the oyster larvae in oysterbeds near Seattle. Presumably that was in an estuary. I am wondering whetehr it was the copper itself that made the water more acidic or the increasing acidification of the water because of CO2, or both?
I am doing the Southampton MOOC, but am rather behind because of other commitments.,
It is fascinating – and there is a lot of useful and interesting reading material. Thanks a lot,
