I was there in the days of Colin Renfrew, Clive Gamble, Tim Champion, etc. Ah, happy days! I loved it there – three of the happiest years of my life. I also met my then future husband in the department. Sadly we are no longer together and I was unable to pursue a career in archaeology due to illness and then subsequent disability. However, I have never lost my interest in the subject and ‘am thrilled to be able to study on the Portus MOOC

I’m also a MOOC addict and have completed more than twenty, including some with FutureLearn. I did the first iteration of Archaology’s Dirty Little Secrets with Coursera last year, and this year I was a Community TA on the same course. I’m really looking forward to Portus!
