I am a first year PhD research student at the Institute for Complex Systems Simulation funded by EPSRC. I Conducted my BSc and MSc in Physics Engineering at Hacettepe University.

In general I am fascinated about the emergence phenomena like life and intelligence. Especially questions like how life formed from non-living matter and then evolved into an intelligent creature motivates me to study biological systems.

In my previous work I studied biological systems from a molecular point of view where I investigated the aggregation of two GNNQQNY amyloid forming peptides via Molecular Dynamics Simulation methods. Although Molecular Modelling methods are powerful to simulate macromolecules, it is not suitable for studying a cell, a tissue, an organ or an organism. Since to understand the biological system as a whole, investigation of every biological level is necessary, I am interested in mathematical models and simulation methods that are used to describe the biological systems at different abstraction levels.
