Welcome everyone to the first week of “Exploring Our Oceans”. It’s so great to have so many of you on board and we all really hope you take a lot from this experience.
The use of social media in science is becoming increasingly important. Twitter offers an accessible and free medium in which to share, discuss and report on scientific topics. You simple “follow” the people you are interested in and you will be able to see everything that that person posts about. You can also post your own material and get answers to any questions you may have. I have compiled a list of all of the MOOC team here so that you can easily follow and interact with us.
Make sure you write “#FLOceans” with any of your tweets. That way we can see your tweets and can join in with any of the discussions.
If you are new to Twitter or do not know what Twitter is, please click this link for quick guide to getting started.
