Produced the Santa Fe Convention (1999), a technical and organizational framework designed to facilitate the discovery of content stored in distributed eprint archives. The convention distinguishes:

  • Data providers: the manager of an eprint archive, acting on behalf of the authors submitting documents to the archive
  • Service providers: a third party, creating end-user services based on data stored in eprint archives
