The virtual Centre for Digital Libraries Research  in the University of Southampton brings together expertise from Electronics and Computer Science as well as the arts and other departments. 
The Centre has projects involving new archives, publishers,  the University Library and departments such as Archaeology, Music and  Winchester School of Art. The Library has several important holdings such as the Wellington and Mountbatten Archives, which enable a local involvement with real data.
