I am delighted to report that Pieter Hartel, who many of you will know, has been offered a Senior Lecturship in the Department. He has indicated that he will accept, and will start here at the end of the summer.

Next Monday a visitor from the Technical University of Nova Scotia will be arriving, to stay for three weeks. As well as research in visual programming, Trevor Smedley has worked closely. with Prograph International on the Prograph system.

Don't forget the Department Colloquium on Wednesday.
