The aim of this event is to give attendees the opportunity to learn from a well-qualified colleague, Dr Sebastian Rasinger, Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.

Dr Rasinger teaches quantitative methods to students on applied linguistics and TESOL programs, among others, and is the author of Quantitative methods in linguistics: An introduction (Continuum Press, 2008). In his presentation, Dr Rasinger will introduce us to the methods he employs in his teaching of quantitative methodology and statistical analysis.

The presentation will be followed by a round-table discussion in which we evaluate how Dr Rasinger’s methods can be implemented in our own teaching practice in order to enhance our students’ learning in this challenging area.

Please email Dr Leendert Plug at l.plug@leeds.ac.uk to register and for further details.  This event is sponsored by the Subject Centre's guest speaker fund.
