Resources for Institution Wide Language Programmes

Date: 12 December, 2001
Location: CILT, London
Event type: Resources Information Session

Past Event Summary

This free session aimed to provide participants with an opportunity to explore the resources available in the Subject Centre's Higher Education Resources Collection at CILT. The focus was on resources of particular relevance to non-specialist learners.

Presentations included authoring tools for creating web-based resources, an insight into the pedagogical rationale behind Palgrave's new Foundations series for non-specialist linguists and a look at DIY Techniques for language learners from the authors of a recent book published by CILT.

The CILT Library is open until 20:00 Wednesday evenings during term-time so participants had the opportunity to stay later to further explore material.
