The Benchmarking Group for Linguistics had just completed the second draft of the linguistics benchmarking statement and extended an invitation to colleagues to share their comments and suggestions at a short consultation meeting. The meeting was chaired by Dr Keith Brown (Chair of the Benchmarking Group) and other members of the team were also present to take questions. A copy of the statement can be obtained from the Linguistics Benchmarking website along with details of the benchmarking timetable and group members. Other open meetings were also being organised by BAAL and LAGB, details of which, could be found on the Benchmarking website.
