This meeting officially launch the Subject Centre’s new Area Studies Network, to unite and support teachers of Area Studies across the UK. It was open to everyone in UK HE institutions teaching on an area-related programme, members of subject associations and other area studies bodies. The day was chaired by Professor Dick Ellis, Chair of the Subject Centre’s Area Studies Specialist Group.
