Assessment of the year abroad in modern language degrees

Professor Jim Coleman was a keynote speaker at the 'Assessment of the year abroad in modern language degrees' international conference, which took place at the University of Bath 25-26 June 2010.

In this conference, current assessment practices with regard to a diverse range of residence abroad experiences (university study, work placements, teaching assistantships or a combination of these) were examined. Contributions from lecturers, teachers and researchers, as well as from support staff in HE language education and related areas covered topics related to year-abroad assessment processes.
