The UK Islamic Studies Network is organising a cross-disciplinary workshop for those working in Islamic Studies and related disciplines at higher education institutions in Wales. This event aims to bring together teachers of Islamic Studies from a wide range of disciplines (e.g. Theology and Religious Studies, History, Politics, Literature, Sociology, Anthropology, Law, Business and Finance), and is open to both specialists and non-specialists who teach on modules related to Islam. This will be an opportunity for practitioners to network, gain a sense of the different ways in which Islamic Studies is taught in the Welsh context, share practice, and discuss region-specific issues in the teaching of Islamic Studies.

Although the workshop is primarily aimed at those working in Islamic Studies in Wales, participants from other regions are welcome to attend. PhD students involved in teaching are also welcome to attend.

This event is being organised by the UK Islamic Studies Network. For more information please see the workshop website.
