5. THREE YEAR DEGREE PROGRAMMES IN ML
In response to a query we received last month, we asked if your institution offers a three year ML programme. From the responses received so far, the following models have been identified:
- Three year programme in a single language with a semester abroad.
- Three year programme in one or two languages with a period of study abroad (in one or two countries) during the summer term and summer vacation.
- Three year programme in one language, combined with Business Studies, European Studies or Geography etc.
- No 3 year programme currently offered, but pressure is on to introduce it in the near future.
- The importance of a full year abroad was also emphasised.
We would welcome further responses to the query. An indication of the language and subject combinations offered and provision for a period of study abroad would be helpful.
