Events in April and May organised by QCA will give stakeholders a final chance to have their say on the newly titled Diploma in Languages and International Communication. The title has been changed following extensive research with students and employers in particular which showed it to be a better reflection of the learning involved and more appealing to these key groups.

Events in April and May organised by QCA will give stakeholders a final chance to have their say on the newly titled Diploma in Languages and International Communication. The title has been changed following extensive research with students and employers in particular which showed it to be a better reflection of the learning involved and more appealing to these key groups.

Consultation now focuses on the draft Line of Learning Criteria which will be used by awarding bodies to develop qualification specifications. They also help further and higher education institutions, employers and other stakeholders understand what has been studied and assessed. The criteria are based on the Line of Learning Statement, a description of the learning content, which was developed after consultation events in February. Dates and venues for events are as follows:

  • 21 April - North East - Radisson SAS Durham Hotel
  • 23 April - North West - Radisson SAS Manchester Airport Hotel
  • 28 April - London - Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel
  • 07 May - Yorkshire - The Queens Hotel, Leeds
  • 12 May - South East - Barcelo Basingstoke Country Hotel
  • 14 May - South West - Mercure Holland House Bristol
  • 19 May - East of England - Trinity Park Conference Centre, Ipswich
  • 28 May - East Midlands - Nottingham Conference Centre
  • 29 May - West Midlands - Crowne Plaza NEC Birmingham
