Setting the agenda: Languages, Linguistics and Area Studies in Higher Education

24 to 26 June 2002, Manchester Conference Centre

This conference which aims to bring together a wide range of participants from the UK and internationally to exchange ideas and strategies for addressing the challenges faced by staff in learning and teaching, and in developing subject areas. The conference is organised jointly by the LTSN Subject Centre for Languages, Linguistics and Area Studies and by the Centre for Information on Language Teaching and Research (CILT), in partnership with the University Council of Modern Languages (UCML), the Standing Committee of Heads of Modern Languages in Universities (SCHML), and the Association of University Language Centres (AULC).
