Abstract
Abstract
The term “performance” has been extensively used within different disciplines over the last two decades without being indicated what exactly it means. Such ambiguity has caused many challenges for both practitioners and researchers. But since ‘performance’ is a multi-dimensional term including a variety of meanings and multiple potential users, it is difficult to give an inclusive exact definition of it. This presentation is a literature review based research study which attempts to overcome this obstacle and discover the new dimensions to generate a multidisciplinary definition of organizational ‘performance’. To achieve this aim, different definitions and dimensions of ‘performance’ have been gathered from the literature and scrutinized through conducting a “content analysis” approach.
