Extensions of the MSSM to allow Dirac type masses for the gauginos (they are Majorana in the MSSM) have attracted increasing attention in the last few years. In the first part of the talk, I will review the motivation behind such models and the challenges it raised for model builders. I will then present the main line of some realisations and their phenomenological implications.
