Scattering amplitudes in N=4 SYM theory have been computed to high loop orders and multiplicity thanks to its vast amount of symmetry and the development of on-shell methods. In this talk, I will focus on form factors, which are partially off-shell generalisations of scattering amplitudes and enjoy a more restricted underlying symmetry. The main goal is to establish links between scattering amplitudes in N=4 SYM and more generic quantities, also in theories with less supersymmetry. For this, I will focus on the operator Tr(F^3), where F is the field strength. This operator features as an effective interaction vertex between a Higgs particle and 3 gluons, which must be taken into account in effective field theory with finite top mass, thus providing an interesting link between N=4 and N<4 results. The idea is to then use supersymmetry as an organisational principle to perform computations in non-supersymmetric theories.
