Title:
The Hadronic Vacuum Polarization from Lattice QCD
Abstract:

The anomalous magnetic moment of the muon is one of the most precisely measured quantities in particle physics and can therefore serve as a high-precision test of the Standard Model of particle physics. The leading-order hadronic contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon is given by the hadronic vacuum polarization (HVP). I will present a method to calculate the HVP in lattice QCD using the correlation of two vector currents in time-momentum representation and show results for the quark-connected and the quark-disconnected contribution to the vector correlator.
