Title:
Holographic Flavour Entanglement
Abstract:

Entanglement has long been a fundamental concept in physics, which both continues to play a central role in foundational studies of quantum mechanics and has numerous applications to quantum information and condensed matter theory. Certain measures of entanglement, such as 'entanglement entropy' and related quantities, have gathered much interest in recent times, particularly in the context of holography where entanglement in QFTs can be studied in a simple and geometrical way. In this talk we discuss how to holographically compute the entanglement in QFTs with flavour degrees of freedom (i.e. matter!). We develop a general method that works for any such system, and explicitly demonstrate it in particular cases and compare to QFT expectations.
