A good understanding of LHC phenomenology requires refined theoretical predictions. One objective in this context is the computation of differential cross section for colour singlet production beyond current level of precision. A generic ingredient of such a computation is the effect of initial-state collinear QCD radiation. I will present work in this direction and discuss the ideas and challenges involved.
