But what you may not find in official biographies is his personality. He appears to be both idealistic but also very pragmatic. Highly intelligent, with a love of reading and an interest in many things. For example he took a very personal interest in many aspects of the country such as the best way to breed pigs, to how to match up the latest scientific discoveries with the latest biotechnology to create new health treatments. He was known to be an excellent sportsman when he was younger and many political discussions were conducted over a game of baseball or basketball. He is also reported to be intensely competitive. There are many signs of a very romantic side, but ultimately politics and the revolution came first.
