Main Conference

The Main Conference all inclusive price includes:

Attendance at all main conference events from Wednesday 9^th to Friday 11^th April 1997;
A copy of the Hypertext 97 Proceedings;
Accommodation on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights in student hall of residence. These are single rooms, with shared facilities, and are within 10 minutes walk from the Bolderwood conference centre;
Breakfast in hall on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings;
Lunch at the conference centre on Wednesday and Thursday;
Tea and Coffee at the conference centre on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday;
One ticket for the conference dinner on board HMS warrior in Portsmouth harbour on Wednesday night (and a coach trip to Portsmouth and back);
3 Course Formal Dinner for Hypertext Conference in the University on Thursday night.

This price includes a copy of proceedings and coffee, tea and lunch on the day (but no dinner or accommodation).

Registration for any tutorial will provide you with a free coffee, tea and lunch ticket for the day concerned, and a copy of the tutorial notes. Bed and Breakfast Accommodation in student hall of residence, if required, may be booked separately (see below).

Workshops

Attendance at the workshops is arranged by the individual workshop organisers, who will make their own calls for attendance, and who will ask each accepted attendee to pay them an amount which they will set (it should be no more than £20 per day). This amount is intended simply to cover the cost of room and equipment hire, and coffee, tea and lunch for the attendees.

Extra Costs

Where attendees are bringing guests who are not attending the conference, but who wish to join us in the evenings,

For the nights of Saturday 5^th, Sunday 6^th & Monday 7^thwhich are not included in the cost of the main conference,

the following extra charges will apply:

Bed and Breakfast (adult)	£25
Bed and Breakfast (Child under 12) (no charge for babies under 2, but no cots either.)	£10

The conference organisers will not be arranging evening meals on nights other than Wednesday 9^th, and Thursday 10^th.

Refunds

A refund of £50 will be made to anyone who does not wish to use the bed and breakfast accommodation in the student halls of residence that are reserved for them as part of their main conference registration. (A list of local hotels is available).

The following methods of payment will be accepted:

Cheque or bankers order, in pounds sterling, payable to "University of Southampton"
Credit card (Visa or Mastercard)
Invoice to a registered company

All registrations must be made before admittance to the conference.

If you are unable to attend the conference then you may either send a substitute, in which case you should change your details at the earliest moment and the conference will make the necessary adjustments in fees. But there can be no refunds in the costs associated with meals and accommodation. Alternatively you may cancel your booking up until March 17th, in which case the conference will refund your fees, minus a £50.00 administration charge.
