I am an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the University of Southampton. Prior to that I graduated with a Diploma and later a PhD in Physics from the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the University of Leipzig and then worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and later Research Scientist at CSIRO's division of atmospheric research.
My main research interest is in interdisciplinary applications of non-linear dynamics and network science to complex systems. Some recent examples include work on
Most of my research is related to the structure of and dynamics on complex networks with particular interests in the dynamics of synchronization, evolutionary games on networks, models of consensus formation and opinion control, and optimal network designs.
