Collected Data

Essentially, we record two forms of data indoors, and one outdoors. The first form of indoor image is of a subject walking on a treadmill. Don't worry if you haven't used one before - we train you (with one with handles on - luxury!). There are papers that suggest treadmills don't affect the way people walk: we aim to check it out.

We also record subjects walking along a specially designed track (with special background too). You can see the results of this design in the processed results.

The last data we record is outside. Here, we don't control the background, only the trajectory along which subjects walk. Intentionally, there are cars and people in the background.
