This workshop:
- presented a model to describe the students' adaptation process, based on the literature in the fields of Intercultural Training (ICT) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
- supplied training materials (e.g. critical incidents and case studies for group discussions) to enhance the understanding of staff concerning such adaptation
- provided hands-on workshop activities to develop this understanding
- supplied guidance to facilitate the dissemination of reflective practice in this area
- encouraged groups of staff and/or institutions to develop codes of good practice in this area
