This workshop:

  • presented a model to describe the students' adaptation process, based on the literature in the fields of Intercultural Training (ICT) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
  • supplied training materials (e.g. critical incidents and case studies for group discussions) to enhance the understanding of staff concerning such adaptation
  • provided hands-on workshop activities to develop this understanding
  • supplied guidance to facilitate the dissemination of reflective practice in this area
  • encouraged groups of staff and/or institutions to develop codes of good practice in this area

11.00 - 16.00 - Park Building Room 3.01 (Lecture Theatre)
Take the lift or the stairs to the third floor, the lecture theatre is in the centre of the building just by the staircase and lift.
