This workshop will aim to introduce teaching staff in the field of Modern Languages to current practices and national initiatives related to the integration of online learning with a face-to-face teaching setting. The workshop’s structure will serve itself as an example of how the online medium integration can be achieved, and the potential pedagogical benefits of such an approach. Consequently, the workshop will be delivered in a blended fashion, with pre and post workshop activities taking place online using tools and resources openly available to educators in the HE sector.
Pre-workshop: The pre-workshop will take place online. It will be a knowledge transfer activity. Time commitment for the pre-workshop will be 1 to 2 notional hours. Participants will be able to complete the pre-workshop at a time of their choosing between 26 May 2008 and 5 June 2008.
Post-workshop: The post-workshop will take place online. It will be an interactive asynchronous session. Time commitment for the post-workshop will be 1 to 2 notional hours. Participants will be able to complete the post-workshop at a time of their choosing between 7 June 2008 and 13 June 2008.
This event is organised under the Subject Centre's Workshops to go scheme.
