IPR and copyright when sharing educational resources
Date: 14 December, 2009
Location: University of Southampton, Avenue Campus
Event type: Workshop
You are warmly invited to attend a workshop and discussion day considering issues and proposing solutions around IPR and copyright when sharing educational materials.
The day will include presentations from key stakeholders at senior academic and legal services levels at the University of Southampton, who are involved in the processes of sharing educational resources. There will also be practical activities designed to draw out, share experiences and attitudes to IPR for educational materials. Emphasis will be on discovering and sharing ways to encourage making educational materials visible, while, at the same time reducing risk to institutions and individuals.
This event aims to bring together major partners from across HEIs who have an interest in issues relating to IPR for educational resources. It will be of interest to academics who wish to share their teaching content openly, as well as educational developers, legal services professionals, senior leaders for education in Universities and librarians.
This event is funded by the JISC, through the Benefits Realisation of the Institutional Innovation Programme. It is jointly organised by the HumBox Project, a subject project funded under the JISC/HEA UKOER programme, and the EdSpace Project, at the University of Southampton.
Places are restricted to the first 50 applicants.
