Event management

Initially as a Subject Centre funded by the Higher Education Academy and now as an independent group, LLAS works in partnership with the education sector to deliver inspiring events from small workshops to international conferences. In the last twelve years, we have delivered over 400 events to the school and higher education sectors involving representatives from government organisations, national associations, academic institutions as well as national and international businesses. As your event management partner, we can provide an efficient and professional service tailored to the education sector.

Our approach

We have over ten years’ experience working with partners to deliver both LLAS and externally-sponsored events. In September 2012 we managed the prestigious British Association for Applied Linguistics (BAAL) conference attracting 350 delegates from all over the world. We have managed events for a variety of partners, including the Centres for Language-Based Area Studies, the Centre for English Language Teaching at the University of York and the Centre for Applied Language Research at the University of Southampton.
