Elisions
When native speakers of English talk naturally, quite a lot of sounds are not actually pronounced. This process is called elision or gradation
Activity
Listen to each of the recordings below and try to write down the phrases you hear (don't do a phonemic transcription).
Now listen again and mark any elisions you hear. Put a bracket around any elided sounds.
When you have finished ,look at the transcription, compare it with your own and listen to the recording while reading.
