This year’s VAST Challenge presents three inter-related mini-challenge and an overall Grand Challenge in relation to information processing and visual analytics. The challenges relate to a story involving missing persons from a company operating a natural gas production site in the island country of Kronos. Solutions are required to help law enforcement on Kronos assess the situation and figure out where the missing employees are and how to get them home again.
