SEMHE '11: THE THIRD INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON SEMANTIC WEB APPLICATIONS IN HIGHER EDUCATION

THIS YEAR'S WORKSHOP IS POSTPONED. INFORMATION ABOUT A FUTURE WORKSHOP WILL BECOME AVAILABLE IN THIS SPACE.

This workshop is the third in a series investigating the potential of semantic web technologies and of linked data infrastructures in higher education. It follows the successful organisation of the 1st SemHE workshop at ECTEL 2009, the 2nd SemHE workshop in 2010 and the special issue for the IEEE Transactions in Learning Technologies (scheduled for Oct-Dec 2011) to which the best papers were invited to submit. There has been much interest in this topic within the Technology Enhanced Learning, the Higher Education and the Web Science communities. The workshop is supported by the research community that participated in the previous workshops and the community that is taking particular interest in the area of linked open data in higher education.
