A limited number of these will be specifically for postgraduate students or junior academics from less developed countries. These are sponsored by the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) under Grant Number EP/F013604/1, the World Wide Web Foundation and the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.

Each bursary is for 500 Euros and will be paid to the successful applicants in the form of a cheque at the Conference. Applicants will also be able to register at the early registration rate.

To apply for a bursary, please send in

    • Your University
    • The area of your research
    • Which year of study you are in
  • An accompanying letter from your supervisor, tutor or line manager in support of your application

Successful applicants will be required to submit a 1-page trip report about the Conference by 20 April 2009.
